Even better, you may already have all the ingredients sitting in your fridge, and the prep time is fast, so you can whip these up quickly for a party or potluck at a moment’s notice! They are easier than my Classic Cheese Puffs, but dare I say equally delicious!

Step#1 : Create the Cheese Mixture

  • Mix up the cream cheese and egg first, before adding the rest of the ingredients. It’s helpful if the cream cheese is at room temperature and softened.
  • Then you’ll season with Worcestershire sauce, and salt and pepper to taste
  • Fold in the cheddar cheese, olives and green onions. And that’s it!

Step#2: Spread the Cheese Mixture on the English Muffins

  • Split the English muffins in half and place them on a baking sheet. Better to pull them apart than slice them. That way they’ll retain all their nooks and crannies.
  • Spread the cheese mixture on each muffin. Spreading the mixture right up to the edges.
  • For a crispier appetizer leave a little edge between the filling and the muffins, otherwise you can cover it to hide the muffin if you wish to keep your guests guessing what’s underneath!

Step#3: Bake and Slice

  • Bake the appetizers at 375F for at least 25-30 minutes. The longer they bake the crispier the muffins will be.
  • Be sure the cheese starts to turn golden brown and bubbly.
  • You can also pop the tray under the broiler for an extra crispy appetizer too!
  • Slice into quarters to serve with something chilled and bubbly.
